A pedestrian is in a serious condition in hospital after being hit by a car in central Christchurch.
Police have launched a serious crash investigation into the collision on Riccarton Road, near Hagley Park, just before 3.30pm on Tuesday.
The pedestrian was taken to Christchurch Hospital in a critical condition.
In an update on Wednesday, police said their condition was now serious.
