A person has died in a crash involving three vehicles in east Auckland.
Police said emergency services responded to the crash on Whitford-Maraetai Road in Beachlands at about 6.35am on Monday.
One person suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.
Two other people reported having sustained minor to moderate injuries and were taken to hospital.
The road has been cleared and reopened.
