Three people have been injured, one critically, in an attempted robbery in the Auckland suburb of Mount Albert.
Two men entered the Mt Albert Sports Bar on New North Road at 10:10pm on Saturday intending to rob the premises, police said.
Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Allan said three people were injured during an altercation.
One of those three was in a critical but stable condition in hospital by Sunday morning, while a second person was in a moderate but stable condition.
Allan said police were still trying to locate the offenders.
A scene guard was in place and a scene examination would be carried out on Sunday.
