Police are investigating after shots were fired at a house in south Auckland's Ōtara on Monday night.

A police investigation is under way after a home in South Auckland's Ōtara was shot at, only a week after a similar incident in Māngere.

Police were called to a property on East Tāmaki Road shorlty after 7.45pm on Monday after receiving reports of a gun being fired.

A police spokesperson said no one was injured in the incident and there would be an increased police presence in the area on Tuesday as the investigation continued.

The incident comes a week after a house on Plumley Crescent in Māngere was shot at.

Earlier in June, two homes in Weymouth and Manurewa were also shot at, along with houses in Onehunga and Māngere East.

Police were unable to say if any of these incidents were linked but said they were "keeping an open mind" as the investigations progressed.
