Two people have been seriously injured following a reported assault in central Christchurch on Sunday morning.
Police said officers were called to Hereford Street shortly after 4am, where the injured people were found.
St Johns said two people had been taken to Christchurch Hospital, one in a critical condition and the other in a serious condition.
Police said they were investigating what happened.
