Police say a person has died on railway tracks in South Auckland on Thursday morning.
Officers were called to the scene, near the level crossing on Walters Road in Takanini, just after 7.30am.
They are warning commuters that train services in the area are likely to be affected.
A cordon is in place at the intersection of Arion Road and Great South Road.
