An assault in broad daylight in central Auckland has police appealing to the public for information.
The woman was approached by an unknown female on the corner of Queen St and Scotia Pl shortly before 3pm on 2 September, police said.
The offender assaulted the victim before yelling verbal threats, taking several items and leaving on foot.
"Police have no tolerance for this type of crime or intimidation in our communities," Auckland City Central response manager Senior Sergeant Dave Plunkett said.
"We are providing support to the victim and want to reassure the community we are working hard to locate the person responsible."
Plunkett called for people with any information to contact police.
The attack came amid heightened concern over hate-related crime in Auckland recently.
A bus driver was left "badly shaken" after being punched in the face on Saturday, leaving him with stitches and a broken tooth.
In July, a teenager lost three teeth after being attacked on a bus with a metal rod by an unknown woman.
