Three people facing corruption charges at Upper Hutt's Rimutaka Prison will have to wait until 2026 for their day in court.

The three accused appeared in the Wellington District Court today and all face two counts of corruption and bribery of enforcement.

Their charges relate to using sex as a bribe in an attempt to bring contraband into the prison, and follow a 2020 police investigation.

The trio have name suppression.

A trial date was today set down for 2 March 2026, and is expected to take two weeks.
