A man has been charged over the death of a hunter who was fatally shot in the Te Urewera Ranges last year.
Michael William Bennett, 63, was found dead by a hunting companion in December.
Another man, aged 50, has been charged by police in Rotorua with careless use of a firearm causing death, and recklessly discharging a firearm.
He is scheduled to appear in Rotorua District Court on Thursday.
