House fires in Wellington and Auckland overnight, one hospitalised

Two house fires have been extinguished overnight, one in Wellington and one in Auckland.

A fire in Stokes Valley in Lower Hutt around 3am saw fire crews attend from five stations.

Fire and Emergency said one person had been transported to hospital.

Meanwhile, a fire in Glen Eden in Auckland around 3.30am has also been extinguished.

FENZ said there were no injuries.
