The Hawke's Bay expressway, State Highway 2, has reopened following a crash that has left one person with serious injuries.
Police were called to the crash at the Ngaruroro River Bridge about 2.20pm.
"One person is in a serious condition and is receiving medical treatment," they said.
Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash or a white Nissan Serena passenger van prior to the crash.
