Trio caught with $10,000 worth of stolen goods from 11 Tauranga shops

Police in Tauranga have arrested three shoplifters in a vehicle with stolen goods estimated to be worth $10,000.

Items included two pools, DeWalt tools, high value electronics, designer clothing and handbags, and health and beauty products.

They were from 11 different shops in Tauranga and the items have since been returned, police said.

The trio were spotted in a vehicle on Cameron Road shortly after 1.30pm Tuesday and police conducted a traffic stop on Sharyn Place.

"Police took two men into custody without incident and a woman was located by a Police dog unit shortly after fleeing the area on foot."

Two men, aged 35 and 39, and a 45-year-old women are due to appear in court Wednesday.
