Police have named the woman who died in Ngāruawāhia on Friday, following a street fight, as they continue to investigate her death.
Turipapa Tukere, who was 42-years-old, died following a brawl in the Waikato town.
Police were called to Waipa Esplanade, near the intersection with Newton Street, after reports of people fighting about 1.30pm.
Tukere died before she could be airlifted to hospital.
Police have since launched a homicide investigation.
Acting Detective Inspector Andy Saunders said someone who was at the fight knows who is responsible.
He is pleading with those people to come forward.
He said now is the time to do the right thing.
