Emergency services are at the scene of a serious crash involving a car and scooter in Burwood, Canterbury.
A police spokesperson said initial indications suggest there are serious injuries.
The crash happened at the intersection of Queen Elizabeth II Drive and Travis Rd just after 1pm.
Police have said the road has been closed with diversions in place and the public is urged to avoid the area if possible.
