Fire crews have been at the scene of a bush fire in Waitākere overnight.
The blaze was reported just before 6:10pm on the northern side of Te Aute Ridge, between Te Aute Ridge Road and Bethells road.
Helicopters had been in the area dropping water on the fire, but left the scene at about 8.30pm.
The fire was contained on Tuesday evening, and a wildfire investigator was expected to be at the scene on Wednesday morning.
