Police have arrested two 16-year-olds after an armed robbery in the Auckland suburb of Panmure.
The duo targeted the Cash Converters store on Queens Road on Wednesday morning.
Police said they entered the store shortly after 9am.
They allegedly used weapons to smash cabinets, taking jewellery and the store's till before feeling in a car.
A short time later in Pakuranga, the police found the stolen car crashed into a gate.
Detective Senior Sergeant Martin Friend said a police dog handler tracked down the pair at a nearby address.
The two males were arrested.
"Charges will be laid in due course as our investigation continues," Detective Friend said.
The store's till has been recovered, police said.
