A 30-year-old man has been arrested after a family harm incident in West Auckland .
Police were called to the scene on Tudor Road, Henderson about 10.10pm on Thursday.
The victim suffered serious wounds, and was given life-saving first aid by police.
They were taken to hospital, where they remained in a serious but stable condition.
The suspect is expected to appear in Waitākere District Court on Friday, charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
