Four people have been taken to hospital after a crash in the East Auckland suburb of Bucklands Beach.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Hutchinsons Road at about 10.30am on Tuesday after one vehicle crashed into another while it was parked.
Police said two people were in a serious but stable condition, while a further two had moderate injuries.
St John also said a patient was treated at the scene in a minor condition.
They were all taken to Middlemore Hospital, and police wer investigating the cause of the crash.
