Emergency services are responding to a serious crash that has closed a major highway in central Otago.
The crash involving two vehicles was reported at 5pm on Wednesday on State Highway 8, the Cromwell-Clyde Road.
Police said the road would be closed for some time and motorists could expect significant delays.
NZTA advised motorists wanting to travel between Cromwell and Clyde to delay their journey or consider an alternate route.
