A large house fire in the Auckland suburb of Wainui has been extinguished.
Nine crews battled the blaze in Milldale, Wainui, which has engulfed two homes on Wednesday morning.
Firefighters confirmed the fire was out shortly before 3pm.

A spokesperson said a fire investigator had also been called to the scene.
Members of the public are being kept away from the fire.
No injuries had been reported.

A local resident who saw the fire said one house was "completely gone" while the house next door to it "was not looking great either".
"The roof of the main house collapsed in and there was car in the driveway that was completely burnt out too."
