A fire caused significant damage to a home in Northland overnight.
Fire and Emergency said it was called to Topuni in the Kaipara District just before midnight.
Crews found the house engulfed in flames and had to call more firefighters.
They were able to extinguish the blaze in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
A fire investigator was expected at the scene shortly.
