A fire at a funeral home in South Auckland's Māngere Bridge on Sunday is being treated as arson.
Police were still looking for four people who fled after the fire broke out at Just Funerals on Kirkbride Road at about 11:50pm.
The fire was earlier being called suspicious.
The funeral home sustained minor damage but no injuries were reported.
Police said their investigations into the incident were ongoing.
Yesterday, police guards were stationed outside the two-storey funeral home and a fire investigator had been at the property assisting police.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Hayward said police were looking for people who fled the scene.
"Four people were seen running from the area following the fire and enquiries are now underway to identify and locate them," Hayward said.
