Three Fire and Emergency (FENZ) crews were called to a light plane crash in Marlborough on Saturday morning, but both people on board suffered minor to no injuries.

A FENZ spokesperson said they were called to the scene just before 11.20am.

Meanwhile, a two-car crash in Invercargill around the same time saw one vehicle crash into a house in the suburb of Appleby.

FENZ said the vehicle only touched the house and there was no damage.

A St John ambulance spokesperson said two ambulances crews attended, and two people were taken to Southland Hospital, one with moderate injuries and one with minor.
