Section of SH6 re-opens after fatal Marlborough crash brings down power lines

A section of State Highway 6 in Marlborough has re-opened on Sunday following a fatal crash north west of Blenheim on Saturday night.

Emergency services were called to the single vehicle crash on SH6 at Okaramio at about 6pm.

One person had died and power lines were down onto the road as a result of the incident.

The road north of Renwick was closed this morning between Leslies Road and Mount Riley Road.

It is now open again under stop go traffic management near Leslies Road.
