A man arrested over a rampage at a Child, Youth and Family office in Christchurch was remanded in custody after appearing in Rangiora District Court on Wednesday afternoon.
The 48-year-old man allegedly forced his way into the office in Papanui on Monday, injuring a social worker and himself.
He was arrested after being discharged from hospital on Wednesday morning.
He is charged with threatening to kill, intentional damage, and injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The man will appear at the Christchurch District Court at Christchurch Men's Prison on 17 November.
