The ACT Party says it will make scrapping the Emission Trading Scheme a high priority during any negotiations after the general election on 20 September.
Primary industries spokesperson Robin Grieve said today that the scheme adds unnecessary costs to all energy users and is a tax ready to be cut.
Mr Grieve said emissions from livetsock should not be part of any emissions scheme, and the best way to make that definite would be to scrap it entirely.
People are less concerned about global warming than they were, he said.
