Prime Minister John Key today set out the Government's agenda for the year ahead as Parliament resumed.

In his Prime Minister's statement Mr Key said that changing the Resource Management Act was a priority for the Government.
He told Parliament that business growth agenda is also high on its agenda, along with workplace law changes.
"This is a Government that will be advancing legislation that will balance the need for the creation of jobs with the safety for those who go to our workplaces each and every day."
And in those critical areas - forestry, construction, agriculture - this will be a government that will champion legislation over the course of the next 12 months to make it safer," Mr Key told the House.
In response to Mr Key's statement, Labour Party leader Andrew Little said the Government had lost its moral compass.
Mr Little told the House that this is a Government "that is leading us into a war with no clear goals and no exit strategies. That has more kiwis out of work and in poverty today than when it came to power and that now has no greater ambition for New Zealand than changing our flag while leaving the real issues to fester."
