Green Party co-leader James Shaw has promised at least half of any MPs the party has in Cabinet after the next election will be women.

He made the commitment at the Council of Trade Unions' biennial conference in Wellington.
Mr Shaw said the Government had failed to take a stand against wage inequality and the gender pay gap.
He said too many appointments in the political and business world were made based on gender.
