The government would be open to sending soldiers as peacekeepers in Ukraine if a ceasefire was reached.

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon told Morning Report New Zealand stood by Ukraine.

He said the war there was one of several shifts from rules to power in international relations.

Luxon said he was open to sending troops as peacekeepers and says the negotiations to end the war were a good thing, but Ukraine should be involved in them.
