The daughter of a man killed at a motocross event yesterday says he and his wife of 43 years were watching their grandson ride at the time.
Bruce Honore, a 68-year-old from Ngahinapouri, died after being hit by a motocross bike that came off the track during the event near Cambridge .
His daughter, Tanya Honore, said her father had four grandchildren and two more on the way.
She said her mother, who was also injured, has been discharged from hospital but was heartbroken.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating and WorkSafe is also making enquiries.
