Police are looking for four young men over the death of a 42-year-old man found unconscious at an Auckland address early this morning.
Emergency services were called to a Mt Wellington address just after midnight, following a report of public disorder.
The male victim was found at the house unconscious and died shortly afterwards, despite efforts to give him first aid.
A scene examination is underway and a post mortem examination will be conducted later today.
Police said they were looking for four males in their late teens and early twenties, who were believed to have been involved in the initial altercation that prompted the 111 call.
"We want to talk to the people involved as they would be in the best position to tell us what happened and why," said Detective Senior Sergeant Colin Higson.
Any witnesses or anyone with information have been asked to come forward to the police.
