Braemar Salvage says the main beaches around Tauranga are in good condition for summer season following operations to clear them of debris from the Rena.
The container ship grounded on Astrolabe reef on 5 October last year and has since broken up. More than 10000 containers have been recovered.
Shoreline teams have already cleaned beaches including Sailor's Grave, Tairua and Waihi Beach.
Braemar operations manager Mike Richards said checks of the stretch of coast between Main Beach at Mount Maunganui and Papamoa indicate beaches are in good condition for the arrival of holidaymakers.
