Despite not getting on the field for the Wellington Phoenix this season, midfielder Cameron Lindsay has signed a new two-year deal with the A-League football club.
The 19-year-old, who was a former member of the Blackburn Rovers Academy, joined the Phoenix this year and says while it was frustrating not to make his A-League debut, he hopes the experience he's gained will help him next season.
He says being offered a two-year contract when it could easily have been just one means coach Ricki Herbert has faith in him.
Lindsay also hopes to earn a place in the New Zealand under-23 Olympic Games squad for London.
