Men's tennis has become a dull affair between the same four players and the current seeding system is to blame, according to the former Swiss star Marc Rosset.
The 1992 Olympic champion who was ranked in the top-10 at the peake of his career says the men's game is all about the top four players, and the seeding system is designed to protect them so organisers have a top drawer match at the weekend.
Since 2008, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Andy Murray have finished the season in the top four, and Rosset believes the doubling of the number of seeds to 32 since Wimbledon in 2001 has reduced the likelihood of the top seeds losing in the earlier rounds.
