Proving a point to All Blacks coach Steve Hansen is at the forefront of dropped loose forward Victor Vito's mind when he plays against the All Blacks in Lower Hutt on Friday.
Vito was left out of the All Blacks Rugby Championship squad at the weekend having been part of the side for the tests against France.
The All Blacks will play Wellington and Canterbury in shortened practice matches on Friday but Vito knows he can't let his own situtation overide the purpose of the match for his Wellington teamates.
He says it's been a difficult few days after missing out on the side but accepts coach Steve Hansen's view that he need to try and simplify his game and concentrate on his core roles as a loose forward.
Vito, who's played 22 tests, says has no intention of heading overseas to play as he wants to win his place back in the All Blacks.
