New Zealand tennis number one Marina Erakovic has called her win over Romania's Sorana Cirstea her best ever at the Australian Open.
Erakovic took one hour and 53 minutes to get past the 21st seed 6-4 7-6 and into the second round on Tuesday.
The world No.52 had to fight to secure the result, winning four straight points in the second set tie-break to win it 8-6.
She will play the world No.152 from Kazakhstan, Zarina Diyas, in her second round match on Thursday.
