The Mariners have signed Hungarian attacking midfielder Richard Vernes on a two-year loan deal from Budapest Honved.
However the Wellington Phoenix coach Ernie Merrick says they have no update on McGlinchey's situation with the club still waiting on a ruling from an independent arbitrator before he can sign up with them.
McGlinchey hasn't been able to play in any of the Wellington club's pre-season matches.

He's due to play for a New Zealand A side against the Phoenix in Taupo this weekend but Merrick says there's a problem with getting clearance for that match too.
He wouldn't elaborate, saying it was a matter for New Zealand Football to resolve.
