Loose forward Peter Saili is leaving the Blues Super Rugby franchise to take up a contract in France later this month.
The Blues and New Zealand Rugby have reached an agreement with Saili to terminate his employment.
The 27-year-old played 71 games for the Blues since his debut in 2009.
New Zealand Rugby General Manager Rugby Neil Sorensen says all three parties are satisfied with the outcome.
The Blues Chief Executive Michael Redman says they are currently considering their options for a replacement for Saili in the 2015 squad.
