The Silver Ferns coach Wai Taumaunu has dismissed a proposal to play Australia ahead of the netball World Cup, worried it could dent her side's confidence.
New Zealand will play one Test against Fiji and two against South Africa in July ahead of the world champs in Sydney in August.
The Silver Ferns have lost their last 10 Test matches against Australia, including last year's Commonwealth Games gold medal match followed by a 4-0 series loss in the Constellation Cup.

Taumaunu says she considered pre-tournament games against Australia and England but both she and Australian counterpart Lisa Alexander decided against it, while England with a new coach weren't interested.
Asked if playing Australia could dent the Silver Ferns self confidence ahead of the tournament Taumaunu said, "possibly, but it could also give injury issues to both sides as well".
"Because (we play each other) in the third match at the world champs I think we both decided it wasn't a great idea for either of us to be having those high intensity matches before we arrive at World Cup," Taumaunu says. "I think we both want to arrive better intact than we might otherwise."
Taumaunu admits Tests against Fiji and South Africa won't test the Silver Ferns.
"But it will give us time on court and an opportunity to get our act together in a slightly less difficult environment than an Australian series might have. So for me it's going to provide a great link. There's not a lot of time so I am pleased we are able to help Fiji and get a work out against South Africa.
Fiji haven't played New Zealand since 1999.
