One day international cricket is to return to Wellington's Basin Reserve this summer.
New Zealand Cricket has announced the summer international programme for the Black Caps which includes tours here by Australia, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
Three Chappell-Hadlee One Day Internationals will be played at Auckland, Wellington and Hamilton in early February.
It will be the first time since 2010 in which the trophy has been contested over the course of a series, as opposed to a stand-alone match.
Over the course of the home summer the Black Caps will play four Tests, 11 OD's and five Twenty20 matches at nine different venues.
The Basin Reserve will host the opening one dayer against Pakistan on January 21st.
The last time the Basin hosted an ODI was against Australia in 2005.
Wellington will also be the venue at which Black Caps captain Brendon McCullum, fitness permitting, will set a world record for becoming the first cricketer to play 100 consecutive Tests since debuting.
Other highlights of the international programme include a Boxing Day ODI against Sri Lanka at Hagley Oval, the return of one day international cricket to Wellington's Basin Reserve, and a concentration on holiday venues Nelson and Mt Maunganui during the Christmas-New Year period.

Over the course of the home summer the Black Caps will play four Tests, 11 ODIs and five Twenty20 matches at nine different venues.
Dunedin will host the first Test against Sri Lanka, Hamilton the second, while the two against Australia will be played in Wellington and Christchurch.
Sri Lanka will start their tour in Queenstown with a three-day tour game against a President's XI, from December 3rd-5th.
New Zealand Cricket chief executive David White said the schedule covered a good geographical spread.
"On the back of the Cricket World Cup we've taken a regional approach to the allocation of international venues, working closely with local and regional councils as well as with our Major and District Associations and venue authorities," he said.
