The Auckland golfer Phillis Meti has won the women's world long drive championships in Oklahoma for the second time in her career.
Meti won the title with her final drive which went 284.4 metres.

"I'm pretty stoked and super surprised as I didn't think I had it in me," said an excited Meti.
"I hadn't hit it that long all day and I was just hustling to the very last shot where I then hit the best ball of the whole division which was extremely pleasing."
With a club head speed of 192 kph when the average golfer on the PGA Tour swings it 180kph and men's world number one Jordan Spieth swings it at 188 kph, the 29-year-old picks up $15 thousand in prizemoney.
Phillis won this event back in 2006 and was runner up in 2007 and 2008.
"This was hugely special to me as my Dad passed away and this kept me at home, away from the game because I wanted to spend as much time with the family as I could."
