The unbeaten Trans-Tasman netball leaders the New South Wales Swifts have suffered a major setback with their classy wing attack Vanessa Ware sidelined for the remainder of the season with a serious knee injury.
Ware, who missed the first two rounds of this season's competition with a back problem, suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in a training drill this week.
The Swifts' next game is at home on Monday night against the top New Zealand team, the Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic.
