Inglis admitted to rehab facility
Greg Inglis has been admitted to a rehabilitation centre as he struggles to cope with life after rugby league.
The Rabbitohs have confirmed South Sydney's 2014 premiership-winning captain had entered a facility to undergo treatment to assist and support his mental health.
"On behalf of Greg and his family, we ask the media and the public to respect their privacy," a statement from the Rabbitohs said.
The 32-year-old former State of Origin and test star played only two games this season before announcing his retirement.
He took up a wide-ranging role with Souths, helping the team as an assistant coach and also working with the club's commercial division and charity arm Souths Cares.
But missing out on the weekly grind of an NRL season alongside his teammates has reportedly hit Inglis hard.

Durant unlikely to start NBA finals
The Golden State Warriors have announced it is unlikely All-Star forward Kevin Durant will be ready for the start of the NBA Finals, but they are hopeful he can return during the series.
The Finals begin on May 31 (June 1 NZT), pitting the two-time defending champion Warriors against either Milwaukee or Toronto.
The Raptors lead the best-of-seven Eastern Conference finals 3-2 after defeating the Bucks 105-99 in Milwaukee today.
Sidelined with a right calf strain, Durant has not been cleared to begin on-court activities but continues to make good progress with his rehabilitation, according to the team.
He missed game six against the Houston Rockets in the second round of the playoffs, then all of Golden State's sweep of the Portland Trail Blazers in the Western Conference finals.
Naholo back in the Highlanders starting line-up
All Black winger Waisake Naholo returns to the Highlanders starting line up for the first time in nearly two months for the side's match against the Sharks in Cape Town this weekend.
Naholo, who suffered a knee ligament injury early last month, had been due to return via the bench in last weekend's match against the Lions but was a late withdrawal.
After undergoing a battery of fitness tests during the week he's been included in the starting fifteen as he seeks to find his way back to form.
Selection surprise for Karaka
Missing out on the Commonwealth Games last year and overlooked for any of Noeline Taurua's Silver Ferns squad in the past year, making the World Cup squad wasn't even on the radar for Mystics defender Phoenix Karaka.
Karaka was one of four players who Taurua hasn't selected previously but has now been named in the Silver Ferns world cup squad for the tournament in Liverpool in July.
Former captain Katrina Rore is back after being surprisingly dropped earlier this year while shooter Bailey Mes and mid-courter Shannon Saunders are also included.
Karaka said when she got the phone call from assistant coach Debbie Fuller it took her some time to realise what she was being told.
Panthers break losing streak
Penrith coach Ivan Cleary has admitted his side "went off a cliff" in the wake of the club's sex tape scandal and it was the disruptive force behind their abysmal start to the National Rugby League season.
The Panthers moved towards getting back on track, and provisionally lifted from the bottom of the ladder, with a 16-10 victory over Parramatta last night.
The Panthers were installed as title favourites before a ball was kicked in 2019 but went winless over the previous six weeks - their worst losing streak in 17 years.
The club were sent into a tailspin during the pre-season after three sex tapes involving players were leaked on the internet.
Penrith lost several senior players over the previous two seasons and Cleary said their leadership group struggled to keep the side together.
"There was a lot of uncertainty around it," Cleary said.
Cleary said the sex tape scandal put everyone on edge over the last several months but he's confident they have turned a corner.
Read here for why Penrith fullback Dallin Watene-Zelezniak could be done with the Panthers.
