Supercars championship leader Shane van Gisbergen won't be on pole for tomorrow's Bathurst 1000 after being penalised over his Bathurst qualifying clash with Macauley Jones.

Van Gisbergen collided with Jones in the dying seconds of qualifying.
Jones made heavy contact with the outside wall, with his Commodore sustaining heavy damage.
New Zealander Van Gisbergen, also in a Holden, has received a three-spot grid penalty which will be applied following tonight's Top Ten Shootout.

Van Gisbergen qualified fourth.
It ensures van Gisbergen cannot claim a second Bathurst pole, and first since 2014.
Van Gisbergen and Garth Tander cannot start higher than fourth, and could start as low as 13th for tomorrow's 161-lap race.
Australian Cam Waters in a Ford Mustang clinched provisional pole in a thrilling wet qualifying session.
Waters, the 2020 pole-sitter, was quickest with a time of 2:23.616s.
Lee Holdsworth in another Ford was a shock second, with 2021 race winner Chaz Mostert in a Holden third.
Meanwhile New Zealander Richie Stanaway, who is returning to racing after having some time away, was fifth fastest in a Holden.
The 31-year-old is racing with four-time Bathurst winner Greg Murphy, who will make his first start in eight years.
"I'm pretty happy with that," Stanaway said.
"It's my first time in the Shootout in Bathurst.
