The Breakers are one step closer to the NBL playoffs after a comprehensive 103-87 win against the Brisbane Bullets in their penultimate game of the regular season.

Mody Maor's Auckland side are now fifth on the ladder, ahead of their final match against the Adelaide side on Sunday.

Maor said he wants another game in Auckland for his retiring captain Tom Abercrombie to sign his career off in style.

With the win, the Breakers have virtually assured themselves of an NBL playoff spot.

"Getting ourselves a chance to go and play in the playoffs in post-season and hopefully bringing another game to Spark Arena so Tommy gets another home game," Mody Maor said post-match.

"Our guys brought it. They did things the right way from the jump. I'm very happy and proud."

Breakers point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright scored 27 points with 8 assists last night.
