Auckland FC have kept their lead at the top of the men's A-League ladder with a 2-nil win over Western United in Melbourne.
Guillermo May and Max Mata stunned United with their goals on Saturday night, scored within two minutes just before halftime.
The Auckland side shut out United in the second half with a superb defensive display in very windy conditions.
The win has avenged Auckland's 4-0 loss at the hands of United in December, their first defeat in the competition.
Auckland are five points clear in the competition, with nearest rivals Adelaide United also in action on Saturday night.
