The Blues Women remain unbeaten in Super Rugby Aupiki after proving too tough for Chiefs Manawa with a 36-21 win in Hamilton.

They had been briefly joined at the top of the points table after Matatū beat Hurricanes Poua 43-24 at Trentham this afternoon, but impressed again with their all-round strength and speed against the Chiefs Manawa.

They made all the running early, running up 21 unanswered points, before Kelly Brazier, playing at 10, combined well with Ruby Tui for the Chiefs Manawa's first try. They scored again to make it 21-14 at halftime, but the Blues scored the first two tries of the second half and it was too tough for their Waikato opponents from there. Sylvia Brunt putting the polish on the victory with a late try.

The Blues side will play the improving Matatū in a top of the table clash next weekend in Whangārei.
