The New Zealand under 17 women's football team has ended the Fifa World Cup in Trinidad and Tobago with a 6-nil loss to Japan in their last group match.
Japan led 1-nil at half time with the win securing their place in the quarter-finals along with Spain.
New Zealand lost all 3 group matches, 2-1 to Venezuela and 3-1 to Spain.
