Tua won't retire despite points loss to Barrett

Heavyweight boxer David Tua says his career isn't over despite losing to American veteran Monte Barrett by a unanimous points decision in their rematch in Manukau.

Tua knocked Barrett down with under a minute left in the final round, but the judges decided the Samoan-born New Zealander was outboxed earlier in the fight.

But Tua says he has no plans to retire just yet.

Newspaper reports claim Tua's management was contacted before the fight by Wladamir Klitschko's people about a possible world title bout with the Ukrainian star - a potential final huge payday that now appears unlikely.
