There was a sense of satisfaction and relief following the All Blacks 20 points to 6 win over Australia in their Rugby World Cup semi-final at Eden Park.
The All Blacks, who had twice lost World Cup semi-finals to the Wallabies, were superior in every department and never looked like missing out on a meeting with France next weekend in a repeat of the 1987 final -- when they won their only title.
The All Black captain Richie McCaw could afford himself a little smile as the clock clicked down.
There are no major injury concerns for the All Blacks.
The final is next Sunday night with Australia to play Wales in the play-off for third on Friday night.
